Job summary

Collins Aerospace, a RTX company, seeks an On-Site Support Technician to deliver field service for aircraft interior products across the UAE and nearby regions. Qualifications

Position Summary

The On-Site Support Technician provides Field Service Support for Collins Aerospace Aircraft interior products installed on customer aircraft throughout the UAE and surrounding region. This role is responsible for Service Bulletin and Service Letter incorporation, maintenance, repairs, inspections, Letter of Commitment assignments, product installations, technical surveys, and customer training. The technician serves as the primary technical interface with customers, ensuring aircraft availability while delivering high-quality technical support and resolving complex product issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide hands-on technical support for Collins Aerospace aircraft interior products installed on customer aircraft.
  • Perform Service Bulletin and Service Letter incorporation on Collins Aerospace seating and cabin interior products.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain Collins' current and legacy seating systems, both on-wing and off-wing.
  • Provide line maintenance support, including troubleshooting and restoring blocked or inoperative passenger seats.
  • Conduct product inspections, failure investigations, and root cause assessments; document findings and communicate results to Product Support and Engineering.
  • Identify, document, and elevate technical issues, product non-conformities, and opportunities for product or process improvement.
  • Perform component repairs within the local Collins Aerospace repair/overhaul facility as required.
  • Support aircraft cabin modification, retrofit, upgrade, and entry-into-service programs.
  • Prepare and submit accurate daily accomplishment reports, maintenance records, defect reports, and work documentation.
  • Assist other Collins Aerospace business units when qualified and trained on applicable products.
  • Deliver on-site product familiarization and maintenance training to customer maintenance personnel.
  • Travel throughout the UAE and regional customer locations to provide technical support, customer assistance, and product demonstrations as required.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are completed in accordance with Collins Aerospace quality standards and applicable regulatory requirements, including FAA and EASA Part 145.
  • Maintain a strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction while representing Collins Aerospace professionally at customer sites.
Required Qualifications

Minimum of 3+ years of experience in aircraft cabin systems maintenance, repair, overhaul (MRO), manufacturing, or airline maintenance. Experience supporting aircraft seating and/or cabin interior products is preferred. Ability to interpret and apply Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs), Service Bulletins (SBs), troubleshooting manuals, engineering drawings, and other technical documentation. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in a customer-facing environment. Ability to effectively communicate technical information and maintenance instructions to airline maintenance personnel. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint). Experience working in an FAA and/or EASA Part 145 approved maintenance environment. Valid UAE driver’s license. Fluent in written and spoken English. Willingness to work overtime, weekends, public holidays, and travel throughout the region as business needs require.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Aircraft Maintenance License (AML) or equivalent technical certification.
  • Experience with Collins Aerospace seating or aircraft interior products.
  • Previous field service or customer support experience in an airline or MRO environment.
  • Familiarity with aircraft cabin electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.

Education Requirements

HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
