Job summary

Honeywell Technologies is seeking an Advanced Application Engineer to help capture technical requirements, design and implement Control & Monitoring solutions for Airports. You will work on A-SMGCS, ATM, VDGS and Induction Loop Sensors, collaborating with R&D, GES and regional teams to meet ICAO/FAA/EASA standards.

You will lead on-site software configuration management, preparation of method statements, test plans and quality documentation while driving cycle-time improvements and delivering

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Diploma degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering/computer discipline.
• Solid experience with installation, testing and commissioning of AGLCMS systems.
• Experience in Airports/Air-side Solutions market.
• Strong knowledge of AGL & CMS, operations and planning.
• Hands-on design of topology and administration of TCP/IP services (HTTP/FTP/SSH/SMTP).
• Customer-facing experience and ability to build relationships.
• Preparation of technical and material submittals and method statements.
• Experience with airport safety regulations and QA processes.

Responsibilities

• Capture technical requirements with customers and design software/system proposals.
• Provide advanced engineering and application management support for day-to-day operations of AGLCMS & Level 4 A-SMGCS.
• Collaborate with HAB R&D and GES to define project requirements and engage with ICAO/FAA/EASA/IEC.
• Engage airport clients and partners to position Honeywell AGL power supply/control systems.
• Establish and manage onsite software configuration management.
• Deliver growth and productivity to meet organizational targets.
• Optimize cycle times and ensure full utilization of engineering resources.
• Prepare methods of statements, installation, testing and commissioning plans.
• Develop SOPs for Airfield Ground Lighting and related control systems.
• Lead QA activities from quality plans to handover and transfer of systems.
• Lead field work and QA tasks to meet client requirements.

Job description

With limited supervision, the ambitious and proactive Advanced Application Engineer will participate in Technical requirements capturing with customer, Design, Estimation, Engineering, Configuration, Testing & Commissioning of Control & Monitoring System application, A-SMGCS, ATM, VDGS, Induction Loop Sensors and other related technologies in the Airports projects/Products. You will work in a collaborative and customer exposed environment to maintain high operational availability of the network and ensure the availability and security of Honeywell Airport technology applications and data.

Responsibilities

• Build requirements gathering and specification in order to design and prepare system as well software solution proposals in line with strategies and best practices
• Provide Advanced Engineering & Application Management Support for the day to day operation of AGLCMS & Level 4 Advanced Surface Movement & Guidance Control System.
• Shall work in close partnership with the HAB R&D team and GES in the definition of project requirements and drive engagements with ICAO, FAA, EASA, IEC and other standards bodies as Honeywell representative to contribute on specifications and standards.
• He will also partner with the HAB Sales & Business Consultants & Regional Sales Support Center; engaging Airport clients, consulting and design companies to position Honeywell AGL Power Supply/Control Systems & Services effectively as well as lead specific strategic pursuits
• Establish & Manage onsite Software Configuration Management System .
• Deliver growth and productivity to meet OI targets.
• Cycle time reduction by increasing productivity, Ensure utilization of Engineering Resources to 100%.
• Preparation of Method of statements for the activities required to carry out Installation, Testing and Commissioning
• Preparation of standard operating procedures of Airfield Ground Lighting System, Control monitoring system, A-SMGCS, ATM, VDGS, Induction Loop Sensors for installation works
• Build quality plan for carrying out Installation, Testing and Commissioning
• Be responsible for the Checklist, testing & commissioning plans
• Installation, testing, commissioning and warranty & post-warranty maintenance of air traffic control systems
• Instruct site acceptance plan and related documents
• Validation and acceptance on airport premises
• Act as a mentor by training and briefing of airport personnel
• Handling of quality assurance aspects from review of Quality Plans, site quality assurance, factory & site acceptance testing, final inspections & snag rectification, quality documentation and handover/technical transfer of systems
• Leading field work as well all quality assurance office tasks meeting company & client requirements

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

• Bachelor or Diploma Degree or equivalent – Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Instrumentation, Computer Engineering, Electronics or equivalent
• Solid work experience on installation, testing and commissioning of AGLCMS systems.
• Experience of working within the Airports / Air-sideSolutions market
• Strong knowledge of AGL & CMS , operations and planning skills,
• Hands on experience in designing Topology, implementing and administrating common TCP/IP-based services, including HTTP, FTP, SSH, SMTP, etc.
• Customer facing experience, driven to build strong working relationships
• Preparation of technical and material submittals
• Preparation of Method of statements for the activities required to carry out Installation, Testing and Commissioning.
• Experienced in preparing checklists, testing & commissioning plans
• Experience with relevant airport safety regulations
• Excellent team and communication skills, (verbal and written), negotiation and interpersonal skill
