Overview

Competitive Expat Opportunity

Earn a Tax-Free Monthly Salary between 30,000 and 35,000 AED

This is a Total Monthly of +/- R145 000 to R169 000 (South-African Rand)

The all-inclusive monthly total salary of 30,000 to 35,000 AED is structured as follows :

  • Basic Salary
  • Housing Allowance
  • Supplementary Allowance

The final offer is based on experience and qualifications at the employer's discretion.

Key Benefits Include :

  • Health Insurance: Medical insurance for you, your spouse, and up to three children under 18, arranged by a selected provider. Dependents must be under your sponsorship and reside in the UAE.
  • Mobilization: A one-way Economy class ticket from your home country to the UAE will be provided for yourself.
  • Repatriation: Flights will be provided for yourself only, post successfully completing probationary period.
  • End of Service Benefit: As per UAE Labour Law
  • Annual Leave Entitlement: 30 Calendar Days
  • CME Leave Entitlement: 5 Days for allied health staff upon approval from employer.
  • DataFlow application, DOH Licensing, and VISA is sponsored by the employer.

Please Note :

Housing allowance is included in your gross monthly salary - you are responsible for arranging and paying for accommodation.

The contract excludes schooling allowances and family flight tickets - bringing dependents is at your own expense.

Your primary duty station is Abu Dhabi, with assignments elsewhere in the UAE as required - occasional missions outside the UAE may occur and are compensated with a daily mission allowance in addition to your salary.

Minimum Requirements

Overseas Hiring :

Open to South African citizens.

Males and Females under the age of 49.

Must have good physical health, with no chronic medical conditions and a healthy acceptable BMI.

Education, Fulltime Studies :

Bachelor Degree of Technology or National Diploma (3 years duration) in EMC - Emergency Medical Care

Licensing :

Valid Registration with HPCSA - Health Professional Council South-Africa as an ECP-Emergency Care Practitioner or ANT Paramedic

Certifications :

Valid Certifications BLS, ACLS, PALS and a Trauma certificate (PHTLS or ITLS)

Vaccination Certificate

Essential Experience :

Minimum of 2 years' experience as an operation paramedic or Operational Supervisor / Manager.

Specification

Deliver high-acuity prehospital and interfacility care within a multidisciplinary EMS system.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Perform advanced life support: airway management (including supraglottic / advanced techniques), ventilation, cardiac arrest care, 12-lead ECG interpretation, pharmacologic interventions, IV / IO access, analgesia / sedation per protocol.
  • Manage trauma and medical emergencies across adult and pediatric populations (e.g., DKA / HHS, ACS, stroke, polytrauma).
  • Conduct scene leadership: dynamic risk assessment, triage (single- and multi-casualty), bystander / crew coordination, and handover using structured tools.
  • Execute interfacility transfers, including critical care transports, monitoring and titrating therapies en route.
  • Use ePCR systems for accurate, timely documentation; participate in audits, morbidity reviews, and QI initiatives.
  • Maintain vehicle / kit readiness: daily checks, medication / fridge logs, infection-prevention protocols, PPE, and equipment troubleshooting.
  • Communicate with dispatch, receiving facilities, and medical oversight; escalate per clinical guidelines.
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to training, simulations, and competency validation.
  • Work a rotating schedule (days / nights / weekends / holidays) in varied environments and weather.
