Job summary

dmg events is seeking an Accounts Receivable Accountant for a fixed-term 6-month role in Dubai. The successful candidate will manage AR operations, ensure accurate recording of payments, and support month-end close with a focus on timely, error-free reporting.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of AR experience, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders. Visa sponsorship is not provided for this role.

Responsibilities

• Investigate unverified payments with internal and external stakeholders.
• Prepare periodic daily/monthly AR reports for senior management.
• Coordinate with online ecommerce providers to streamline processes and reconciliation.
• Respond to customer inquiries and resolve queries within SLA.
• Post customer payments by recording cash, checks, and card transactions.
• Assist with month-end duties such as bank reconciliations and outstanding entries.

Job Purpose:

This role requires an experienced professional who has worked in a similar capacity, ideally within a fast-paced environment. The position involves providing comprehensive financial, administrative, and accounting support to ensure accurate and error-free accounts receivable (AR) operations. The successful candidate must be able to effectively prioritize tasks and manage expectations in a high‑pressure setting, while demonstrating strong verbal and written communication skills and a keen eye for detail. In addition, the role demands the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team, using initiative where appropriate. Excellent organizational and time management skills are essential for success in this position.
