Job summary

STAAR Aviation is seeking an Accounts & Data Entry Assistant to support day-to-day finance operations. You will record supplier invoices, receipts and payments in Odoo, verify against POs and approvals, and maintain organised financial records for reconciliation and audits.

The role involves assisting with month-end activities, VAT documentation, and internal/external audits, while ensuring confidentiality and data integrity across departments.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Higher Diploma/Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance or related field.
• Candidates with strong accounting experience may be considered.
• Experience using an ERP system is preferred; Odoo is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Accurately enter supplier invoices, expenses, receipts and other financial transactions into Odoo.
• Verify invoices against approved Purchase Orders and supporting documents before processing.
• Maintain complete electronic records for supplier invoices, receipts and payment documents.
• Assist with supplier account reconciliations and follow up on discrepancies with internal teams.
• Support bank, petty cash and other routine account reconciliations under supervision.
• Maintain supplier and financial master data accurately within Odoo.
• Track outstanding or incomplete documentation and follow up with other departments.
• Assist in preparing supporting documentation for supplier payments and workflows.
• Support month-end accounting activities, including checks and reconciliations.
• Assist with records required for VAT, audit and statutory documentation.
• Support audits by retrieving and organizing requested documents.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial, employee, supplier and company information.
• Assist the Finance team with other routine accounting and administrative activities.
