Job summary

First Priority Cargo L L C is seeking an Accounts Assistant to support the finance team with day-to-day accounting operations in Sharjah, UAE. You will handle AP/AR, journal entries, and monthly closes while maintaining accurate records and helping prepare reports.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Prepare and record invoices, payments, receipts, and journal entries.
• Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems.
• Reconcile bank statements, supplier accounts, and customer accounts.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on overdue payments.
• Prepare payment vouchers, expense reports, and petty cash reconciliations.
• Maintain fixed asset records and inventory-related financial documentation.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting procedures, and relevant regulations.
• Generate financial reports and assist with budget preparation.
• Perform other finance and administrative duties as assigned.
