Job summary

IFZA Dubai is seeking an Accounting Associate for its Shared Services Centre to support day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting for IFZA customers. The role involves coordinating with a professional team, ensuring checks and balances, and delivering end-to-end service to clients from Dubai, UAE.

The successful candidate will handle processing, reconciliations, journal postings, and aging reports while maintaining compliance with internal controls and policies.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or Finance with 1-2 years of accounting experience.
• Professional accounting qualification from a recognized body is preferred.
• Native/Professional Chinese speaker required.

Responsibilities

• Process transactions per procedures and record accurately.

Job Description

Job Role:

As an Accounting Associate for the Shared Services Centre (SSC), the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting of IFZA customers, coordinating with a team of professionals, whilst complying with the organization’s policies and procedures and ensuring the necessary checks and balances are performed, in order to deliver an effective and efficient end to end service for customers.

Job Responsibilities

• Processing transactions according to stated procedures and ensuring that all transactions are recorded in a timely and accurate manner.
  
• Reconciling invoices, statements of accounts, and investigating discrepancies.
  
• Posting accounting journal transactions in line with double entry bookkeeping.
  
• Creating and recording aging reports.
  
• Managing relationships and providing daily partnering support to customers on their financial packages.
  
• Implementing procedure documentation in line with internal controls and promoting operational efficiency.
  
• Ensuring all policies are complied with fully in accordance with the company.
  
• Acting as a competent contact person for various inquiries relating to your area of responsibility.
  
• Proactively identifying service delivery issues and taking appropriate action.
  
• Supporting standardization and continuous improvement initiatives within the SSC.
  
• Ensuring continuity of daily tasks.
  
• Overseeing the final preparation of financial statements for customers monthly.
  
• Giving regular updates to the team lead on progress.
  
• Assisting in and/or carrying out ad hoc tasks to support the business vision.
  

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting or Finance with 1-2 years’ accounting experience
  
• Part or fully qualified professional accounting qualification (from a recognized accounting body) preferred
  
• Native/Bilingual/Professional Chinese speaker (Mandatory)
