Ascend Healthcare in Dubai seeks a detail‑oriented Accountant/Finance professional to manage invoicing, accounts payable, payroll coordination, month‑end close, reconciliations, and audit preparation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in accounting/finance roles.
• Advanced Excel proficiency with data analysis and reporting.
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to identify and implement process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Manage customer invoicing processes and improve workflow efficiency.
• Process accounts payable transactions with proper coding and documentation.
• Oversee and execute payroll processing in coordination with Human Resources.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities, including reconciliations and journal entries.
• Maintain accurate financial records within accounting systems.
• Support annual audit preparation through organized documentation.
• Maintain state and local tax registrations.
• Recommend process improvements to strengthen controls and increase efficiency.
• Communicate effectively with vendors, internal teams, and leadership.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• 2 or 4-year degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent)
• 2+ years of experience in a relevant position
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to identify and implement process improvements

Preferred Qualifications

• Solid understanding of GAAP
• Experience with NetSuite or other enterprise ERP systems
• Prior experience with general accounting and payroll
