Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Experience in general accounting; logistics/transport exposure is a plus.
• Knowledge of UAE VAT and financial compliance requirements.
• Strong proficiency with accounting software and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end and year-end closing schedules.
• Support the preparation of financial statements, management reports, and budgets.
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable, invoices, receipts, and payment processing.
• Reconcile bank statements and investigate discrepancies, ensuring issues are resolved promptly.
• Track logistics-related costs, including freight, transportation, warehousing, and operating expenses.
• Assist with cash-flow monitoring, financial analysis, and variance reporting.
• Maintain organized financial documentation and support internal and external audits.
• Help ensure compliance with applicable UAE accounting standards, tax requirements, and company policies.
• Coordinate with operations, procurement, and other departments to clarify transactions and improve financial processes.

• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems is beneficial.
• High attention to detail, sound numerical and analytical skills, and a commitment to accuracy.
• Strong organization and time-management skills, with the ability to meet reporting deadlines.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
