Job summary

Al Tayer Group is seeking an experienced Accountant to support accounting activities and ensure procedural control and compliance. The role focuses on accurate financial reflection and adherence to the company’s financial policies.

Key duties include reconciling accounts, preparing monthly MIS reports, supporting auditors, conducting cash audits, and assisting in budgeting and forecasting. A B Com graduate with 3–5 years of experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Commerce degree or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience in a medium-sized group.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile accounts between General Ledger, external parties and sub-ledgers.
• Prepare monthly management information reports (balance sheet & P&L) for management review.
• Assist auditors and implement recommendations to improve systems and controls.
• Conduct periodic cash audits and ensure payments follow SOA and financial policies.
• Analyse debtors and follow up to ensure adherence to credit policy and SOA.
• Sort and dispatch invoices and manage data for operating expenses and margin projections.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Conduct counts of fixed assets and inventory for valuation and availability.
• Account for service contracts, Salik and traffic fines.
• Prepare cash movement reports and cash till reconciliations.
