Job summary

Naumico in Ajman/Umm Al Quwain seeks an energetic Accountant to manage multi-entity accounting across trading, manufacturing, and distribution. The role reports to the Fractional Finance Manager and requires hands-on UAE experience with QuickBooks Online and Tally Prime, along with strong bank reconciliations and inventory postings.

You're expected to handle AR/AP, VAT compliance, month-end closing, and cross-functional coordination with sales, procurement, and warehouse teams.

Qualifications

  • 2–3 years UAE accounting experience, preferably in trading, manufacturing or distribution.
  • Working exposure to UAE VAT return preparation and awareness of Corporate/Excise tax requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with petty cash, bank reconciliations, invoicing, and basic inventory entries.
  • Practical knowledge of Tally Prime and QuickBooks Online.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance; ACCA/CA (Inter) preferred.
  • On-site role based in Ajman/Umm Al Quwain with residency in UAE.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily cash disbursements and monthly cash box reconciliations.
  • Process bank transactions and monthly reconciliations across all accounts.
  • Issue customer invoices, track collections, and send monthly statements.
  • Process vendor invoices and manage supplier ledgers; run supplier payments.
  • Prepare quarterly UAE VAT returns and support tax compliance.
  • Post daily vouchers in QuickBooks Online and Tally Prime; handle BOM postings.
  • Support month-end closing, including journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Coordinate with Sales/Procurement/Logistics to resolve invoice and stock queries.

Accountant — Multi-Entity Operations

Ajman / Umm Al Quwain (UAQ), United Arab Emirates

Reporting To: Fractional Finance Manager

Systems Used: QuickBooks Online & Tally Prime

Scope: Group of 3 entities — trading, manufacturing, distribution

Residency: Candidate must be residing in, or willing to relocate to, Ajman / Umm Al Quwain

Role Overview

We are seeking an energetic, detail-oriented Accountant with 2–3 years of hands‑on UAE accounting experience to manage accounting operations across our group of 3 entities.

Working directly under the guidance of our Fractional Finance Manager, you will handle daily transaction entries, petty cash management, bank reconciliations, vendor/customer ledgers, inventory/BOM postings, and support month‑end closing procedures.

Group Operating Structure
  • Entity 1 (QuickBooks Online): Ajman Free Zone‑based trading company handling back‑to‑back cross‑border milk powder container shipments from Europe to GCC buyers.
  • Entity 2 (Tally Prime): UAQ‑based food manufacturing plant producing powdered beverages (Tang‑type) using Bill of Materials (BOM) (90% export to Africa).
  • Entity 3 (Tally Prime): UAE commercial distribution entity handling local sales (10%) and domestic customer invoicing.
Key Responsibilities
1. Cash, Bank & Working Capital Management
  • Manage daily petty cash disbursements, physical voucher verification, and monthly cash box reconciliations.
  • Process bank transactions, perform monthly bank reconciliations across all accounts, and track daily bank movements.
  • Assist the Finance Manager in preparing weekly Cash Flow projections and tracking liquidity requirements.
2. Accounts Receivable (AR) & Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Issue customer sales invoices, track collections, and send monthly Statements of Accounts (SOAs) to customers.
  • Follow up on overdue customer receivables to ensure timely collection and ledger matching.
  • Process vendor invoices, manage supplier ledgers, and execute scheduled supplier payment runs.
3. Tax & Regulatory Compliance (UAE)
  • Prepare quarterly UAE VAT (Form VAT201) return documentation across Mainland and Free Zone companies for review by the Finance Manager.
  • Maintain tax records and supporting schedules for Corporate Tax (CT) and Excise Tax compliance where applicable.
  • Ensure all sales and purchase invoices meet FTA statutory criteria.
4. Inventory & Operational Bookkeeping
  • Post daily vouchers accurately in QuickBooks Online and Tally Prime.
  • Record production vouchers, Bill of Materials (BOM) issuances, and finished goods entries for the factory.
  • Participate in periodic physical stock counts and reconcile system balances against physical inventory.
5. Month-End Closing & Finalization Support
  • Record month‑end journal entries, prepayments, accruals, and ledger adjustments.
  • Assist the Finance Manager in reconciling all ledgers for finalization of month‑end closing accounts and Trial Balance.
6. Coordination & Ad Hoc Support
  • Liaise with the sales, procurement, logistics, and warehouse teams to resolve ad hoc queries on invoices, deliveries, stock movements, and supplier documentation.
  • Provide supporting schedules, ledger extracts, and transaction backups requested by the Finance Manager, auditors, or management.
Candidate Qualifications & Requirements
  • UAE Experience: 2–3 years of accounting experience in the UAE, preferably in trading, manufacturing, or distribution.
  • Tax Knowledge: Working exposure to UAE VAT return preparation, with basic awareness of Corporate Tax and Excise Tax requirements.
  • Core Skills: Hands‑on experience managing petty cash, bank recons, customer SOAs, AP payments, and basic inventory entries.
  • Software: Practical working knowledge of Tally Prime and QuickBooks Online.
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce; ACCA or CA (Inter) part‑qualification preferred.
  • Location: Currently residing in — or willing to relocate to — Ajman / Umm Al Quwain, with daily on‑site presence.
  • Excel: Solid proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, basic reconciliations).
Growth Path

This role reports directly to, and is mentored by, our Fractional Finance Manager. The successful candidate will gain structured exposure to multi-entity group reporting, UAE tax compliance, and manufacturing cost accounting across three business models — with scope to grow into a Senior Accountant position as the group expands.
