Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; ACCA/CPA/CIMA preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in a corporate or medium-sized business setting.
  • Proficient in UAE VAT, Corporate tax, and IFRS standards.
  • Proficient in QuickBooks, SAP, Xero, and Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Bookkeeping and general accounting tasks as per policy.
  • Assist in monthly/ yearly closings and reporting.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and supporting schedules.
  • Support VAT and tax reporting and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to address inquiries.

Accountant
Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of professional accounting experience, demonstrating exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills. This onsite role will be pivotal in managing financial operations, maintaining precise financial records, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies. The selected individual will assist in financial consolidation and reporting, vital for effective business decision-making.
Responsibilities
  • Bookkeeping and Accounting:
    • Record daily financial transactions accurately into the accounting system.
    • Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure accurate journal entries.
    • Support month-end and year-end closing entries preparation and posting.
    • Reconcile accounts payable and receivable balances efficiently.
  • Cash and Bank Management:
    • Monitor daily cash flow to ensure adequate operational liquidity.
    • Process vendor and employee payments within company policy frameworks.
    • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and promptly address discrepancies.
  • Financial Records Maintenance:
    • Keep financial records organized and current, including invoices and receipts.
    • Assist in preparing audit-ready documentation and support auditing processes.
  • Tax and Regulatory Compliance:
    • Support the VAT and Corporate tax reporting and filing processes.
    • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and company policies.
  • Financial Reporting:
    • Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial reports.
    • Generate financial statements and management-requested reports.
  • General Support:
    • Work with team members to enhance accounting processes and systems.
    • Address financial queries from vendors, clients, or internal departments.
    • Stay informed about current accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
Requirements for the Role
  • Education:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Preferably holding a professional certification like ACCA, CPA, or CIMA.
  • Experience:A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, ideally within a corporate or medium-sized business setting.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficient in accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Xero, and Microsoft Excel.
    • Strong understanding of UAE VAT, Corporate tax, and IFRS standards.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
    • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
