Job summary

MANEL Fashion L.L.C is seeking an experienced accountant in Dubai to manage day-to-day accounting and provide timely financial insights on revenue, margins, stock, and cash. The role covers core accounting, tax compliance, stock costs, wholesale cash flow and financial controls within a growing luxury fashion business.

The successful candidate will close books monthly, file VAT and support corporate tax with advisors, while maintaining inventory records and cost calculations.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of accounting experience in fashion/retail/trading/FMCG.
• Hands-on UAE VAT and Corporate Tax filings experience.
• Experience with accounting software (Odoo/Zoho/QuickBooks) and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations and journal entries.
• Close books monthly and prepare P&L, balance sheet and cash flow.
• Reconcile e-commerce sales, payments and bank receipts.
• Prepare VAT returns and support corporate tax filings.
• Track inventory, production costs, and write-offs.
• Monitor wholesale invoicing, payment terms and collections.
• Maintain internal controls and support management reporting.

ABOUT MANEL

MANEL is a Dubai luxury fashion house founded in 2019, selling through e-commerce, wholesale partners and private

clients across the GCC. We run our own production facility in Dubai.

THE ROLE

A hands‑on role managing day‑to‑day accounting and giving management accurate, timely numbers on revenue,

margins, stock and cash.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Core accounting

• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations and journal entries.
• Close the books monthly and prepare the P&L, balance sheet and cash flow statement.
• Reconcile e-commerce sales, payment gateway and instalment-provider payouts against bank receipts.

Tax and compliance

• Prepare and file VAT returns and support Corporate Tax compliance with our tax advisors.
• Prepare for upcoming UAE e-invoicing requirements.
• Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants and banks.

Stock and production costs

• Maintain records of inventory, raw materials and production costs, and support cost per piece calculations.
• Record and report fabric scrap, write-offs and returns so management can track and reduce them.

Wholesale and cash

• Track wholesale partner invoicing, payment terms and collections.
• Monitor cash flow and payment schedules.

Controls and reporting

• Maintain documentation and internal controls.
• Support management, board and investor reporting.

HOW SUCCESS IS MEASURED

• Monthly close completed on time and accurately
• VAT and Corporate Tax filings on time with no penalties
• Receivable days from wholesale partners
• Clean audit results

WHAT YOU BRING

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 4+ years of accounting experience, ideally in fashion, retail, trading or FMCG.
• Hands‑on experience with UAE VAT and Corporate Tax filings.
• Experience with Odoo, Zoho Books, QuickBooks or similar; strong Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail, discretion and reliability under deadlines.
• Good English; Arabic is a plus.
