Job summary

Jalsa Design, a luxury furniture showroom in Dubai, is seeking an experienced Accountant to manage daily accounting operations and maintain precise financial records. The role requires independent work, UAE VAT and Corporate Tax knowledge, and attention to detail.

Fluent English and Arabic or Hindi are required, along with a valid UAE driving license. Immediate joining is preferred and travel is not expected. The position is Full-Time, on-site in Dubai.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of UAE accounting experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Fluent English and Arabic or Hindi; strong VAT and tax knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting entries, bookkeeping, and general ledger maintenance.
• Handle accounts payable/receivable, supplier payments, client invoicing, and collections.
• Prepare bank reconciliations, month-end closing, and monthly financial reports.
• Monitor expenses, inventory transactions, and stock reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT, Corporate Tax regulations, and accounting standards.
• Process payroll and support financial audits with proper documentation.
• Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies to maintain data integrity.

Jalsa Design, a luxury multi-brand furniture showroom in Dubai, is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Accountant to independently manage daily accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting entries, bookkeeping, and general ledger maintenance.
• Handle accounts payable and receivable, supplier payments, client invoicing, and collections.
• Prepare bank reconciliations, month-end closing, and monthly financial reports.
• Monitor expenses, purchase orders, inventory transactions, and stock reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT, Corporate Tax regulations, and accounting standards.
• Process payroll and support financial audits with accurate documentation.
• Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies while maintaining financial accuracy.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in the UAE.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and accounting practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and take full responsibility for daily accounting operations.
• Mandatory languages: Fluent English and Arabic OR fluent English and Hindi.
• Must hold a valid UAE driving licence and own a car.
• Immediate joining is mandatory. Candidates serving a notice period will not be considered.
• Experience in furniture, retail, or trading businesses is an advantage.
