Job description

Experience: Minimum 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience. At least 3 years in a Senior Accountant, Cost Controller, or Finance Manager capacity within a UAE-based trading, industrial distribution, or electro-mechanical (MEP) supply company.

Education & Certifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance. Professional qualification such as ACCA, CMA, CIMA, or CPA is highly preferred.

Technical Skills

Expert-level mastery of ERP systems (such as SAP, Oracle, Odoo, or Tally) and advanced financial modeling in Microsoft Excel.

Regulatory Knowledge

Deep understanding of UAE commercial laws, Free Zone rules , VAT regulations, and Corporate Tax frameworks.

Leadership & Communication

Proven ability to lead junior accounting staff, negotiate with banks or suppliers, and present financial reports to executive management.

Cost Control Analysis

• Monitor operational and procurement expenses
• Analyze margins on different types of water meters mechanical digital smart meters
• Track landed costs including freight customs duties and local logistics

Budgeting Forecasting

• Assist in preparing annual corporate budgets and quarterly forecasts
• Monitor budget variances
• Flag cost overruns in procurement warehousing or distribution

Inventory Stock Valuation

• Maintain accurate ledger tracking for imported flow measurement devices
• Perform regular stock reconciliations
• Manage slow-moving or obsolete inventory provisions

Accounts Receivable AR Payable AP

• Oversee credit management and collections from MEP contractors and developers
• Manage supplier payables and aging reports

Tax Compliance

• Prepare and file accurate UAE VAT returns
• Assist in corporate tax computations in line with Federal Tax Authority FTA regulations

Trade Documentation

• Review import export documentation letters of credit LC bank guarantees and trust receipts related to international manufacturing suppliers
