Job summary

Asteron Jewellery Trading LLC, a wholesale jewellery trading company based in Gold Souq, Deira, Dubai, seeks a responsible Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting, financial records and compliance documentation in a Dubai-based role.

The candidate will record financial transactions, prepare monthly reports, reconcile accounts, and support VAT, AML/KYC, and audit processes while ensuring compliance with UAE regulations and company policies.

Qualifications

• Maintain daily accounting records and bookkeeping in UAE operations.
• Assist with VAT-related accounting and UAE regulatory compliance.
• Prepare monthly Profit & Loss and management reports.
• Support internal and external audits and AML/CFT records.

Desired Candidate Profile

Requirements:

• Maintain daily accounting records and bookkeeping

• Record sales, purchases, expenses, payments and receipts

• Prepare monthly Profit & Loss and financial reports

• Reconcile bank, cash, customer and supplier accounts

• Maintain accurate accounts receivable and payable records

• Monitor outstanding customer and supplier balances

• Handle VAT-related accounting, records and documentation

• Assist with inventory and stock-related accounting

• Prepare monthly accounts and management reports

• Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial transactions

• Assist with internal and external audit requirements

• Maintain and organize customer and supplier KYC documentation

• Assist management with AML/CFT-related records, reports and compliance documentation

• Ensure proper documentation of transactions in accordance with company policies and UAE regulatory requirements

• Support compliance checks and maintain necessary records for regulatory and banking requirements

• Coordinate with management regarding accounting, financial and compliance matters

• Previous accounting experience in the UAE is preferred

• Experience with trading companies is an advantage

• Experience in jewellery/gold trading is an added advantage

• Proficiency in Suntech accounting software is required

• Good knowledge of bookkeeping and UAE VAT

• Basic understanding of AML/CFT and KYC requirements in the UAE

• Proficiency in MS Excel

• Good communication and organizational skills

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
