Job summary

Octave is seeking an Account Director to drive new account development and expand existing relationships within the Safety, Infrastructure and Geospatial space across the UAE, including Abu Dhabi and Dubai. This hybrid role targets executive-level engagements and multi-product opportunities.

You will lead solution selling, define business value for clients, manage tenders and long sales cycles, and mentor associate sales professionals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• 10+ years in tech sales and business development.
• 7+ years selling in oil & gas, government, or critical infrastructure.

Job description

Responsibilities

Octave is seeking an Account Director. In this position, individuals are responsible for new account development and/or expanding existing accounts within an established geographic territory or product line. This includes Safety, Infrastructure and Geospatial (SIG) solutions, which protect people, assets and critical infrastructure.

• Adept at solution selling and able to define business value for clients.
• Represents Octave with integrity and professionalism, acting as an agent of the company.
• Diligently uses the corporate sales CRM system.
• Engaging with executive-level management at customer companies.
• Knowledge of Octave's product solutions.
• Ability to sell multiple product lines, lead financial discussions, and be involved with legal negotiations for client opportunities.
• Spots gaps in protection at existing clients and offers SIG solutions to close them.
• Works with government, public safety and critical infrastructure buyers, including tenders and long sales cycles.
• Understanding of the customer's budgeting process and why the budget exists.
• Maintaining strong relationships with key accounts.
• Works with partners and integrators, and moves more business to direct sales over time.
• Delivering on quota expectations consistently.
• Mentor to associate account sales executives.

Education / Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Experience working with and presenting to C-level executives, IT, and lines of businesses across organizations or equivalent.
• 10+ years of technology related sales, business development or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of selling in the oil and gas industry, government, public safety and critical infrastructure.
• Experience selling geospatial, physical security, public safety or IoT security solutions is a plus. Related experience is fine. We will help you learn the rest.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills.
