Job summary

MidChains, a UAE-regulated digital asset trading platform, seeks a proactive Custody & Settlement Operations Officer to support wallet management, settlement, reconciliations, and operational controls across banking and custody infrastructure.

The role requires a mid-level professional comfortable with rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays to sustain 24/7 custody and settlement operations. Strong English communication and fintech adaptability are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Business Admin, Economics, Information Systems, or related field
3–5 years in custody/settlement or related operations
Experience with digital asset custody platforms (e.g. Fireblocks) is highly desirable
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Excellent English communication; Arabic is a plus

Responsibilities

Support digital asset custody activities including wallet management and approvals
Coordinate secure movement of assets per internal workflows
Execute daily fiat and crypto settlement and post-trade processing for OTC transactions
Monitor blockchain transactions and settlement status end-to-end
Escalate incidents and contribute to resolution and process improvements
Perform daily client reconciliations across custody platform, banks, and ledgers
Support on-call, 24/7 coverage and disaster recovery protocols
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (VARA/SCA) and internal SOPs
Assist audits and prepare custody/settlement reports
