A financial services firm in Cape Town is seeking a Junior Accountant to ensure the accuracy of financial records and manage daily transactions. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, at least 2 years of experience, and proficiency in Xero and MS Excel. This role offers a competitive salary in the range of R 18,000 to R 22,000 per month.
Qualificações
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in accounting.
- Internship or previous experience in an accounting role preferred.
- Working knowledge of IFRS is essential.
Responsabilidades
- Ensure accuracy of financial records.
- Process daily transactions, manage accounts payable and receivable.
- Assist with invoicing and month-end/year-end closing activities.

Vital role in ensuring the accuracy of financial records. Responsible for processing daily transactions, managing accounts payable and receivable. Assist clients with invoicing and supporting month-end and year-end closing activities. Successful candidates will contribute to process improvements and efficiency enhancements within the accounting function and assist with the preparation of tax returns and annual external audits.
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting/ Financial or related field
- Internship or previous experience in an accounting role will be preferred
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience
- Working knowledge of IFRS
- Working towards an accounting qualification such as ACCA, CIMA etc
- Excellent proficiency in Xero and MS Excel
