The Procurement Coordinator in the Western Cape area will be responsible for implementing procurement plans, managing supply and demand forecasts, and source new products. The successful candidate will have a tertiary qualification in supply chain or related field, along with 5-7 years of relevant experience.
Procurement Coordinator, Fruit, Winelands
Key Responsibilities:
Implement procurement plans for supply and demand forecast and customer orders.
Maintain records of procurement activities.
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
Ensure effective communication to producers.
Collaborate with internal teams such as sales, operations, quality assurance, and logistics to gather information and align on requirements.
Work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
Negotiate prices and contracts with suppliers.
Work independently and act proactively.
Be flexible
Adapt to changing business needs and priorities.
Procurement of fruit
Requirements:
Tertiary qualification in supply chain or related field.
5 -7 years of relevant experience.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage procurement activities, documentation, and inventory.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Able to multitask and prioritize.
Strong negotiation skills.
Work independently and act proactively.
Flexible and adapt to changing business needs and priorities.
