Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement innovative outreach programs targeting young people in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal.
• Develop partnerships with schools, community centers, and other youth-serving organizations.
• Organize and facilitate workshops, events, and activities for young people focused on education, life skills, and well-being.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to youth, helping them navigate challenges and pursue opportunities.
• Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers involved in outreach activities.
• Collect and analyze data on outreach effectiveness, reporting on key metrics and outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records of participant engagement and program activities.
• Stay informed about current trends and best practices in youth development and outreach.
• Advocate for the needs and interests of young people within the community.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Youth Development, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience working directly with youth in an outreach or program delivery capacity.
• Demonstrated experience in program design and implementation for young people.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with diverse youth.
• Experience in volunteer management and supervision.
• Knowledge of the social and cultural context of Durban, KwaZulu-Natal's youth.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in data collection and reporting tools.
• Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
