Placements24 seeks a dedicated Child and Youth Care Worker to support children and youth in the Paarl community. The role focuses on safe, supportive environments that promote personal development, education, and well-being within a caring team.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Child and Youth Care, Social Work, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and supervision to children and youth in a residential or community setting.
• Develop and implement age-appropriate activities, including educational support, recreational programs, and life skills training.
• Establish and maintain positive, supportive relationships with children and youth, acting as a mentor and role model.
• Monitor the well-being of children and youth, identifying and responding to their emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs.
• Collaborate with colleagues, supervisors, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to care.
• Document observations, progress, and incidents accurately and confidentially.
