Job summary

RWS Group is seeking AI Conversation Recording Contributors to join a Xhosa speech data collection project from home. You will record natural speech and annotate recordings to help evaluate and improve AI speech systems. This freelance, remote role offers flexible hours (about 2–4 hours daily), immediate start, and reliable payments.

Strong attention to detail and English comprehension are essential. No prior experience required, but familiarity with data annotation is a plus.

Qualifications

• Native-level fluency in Xhosa.
• Advanced level of English to understand written instructions.
• Experience with speech recording or data annotation is an advantage, but not required.
• Strong attention to detail when providing annotations and recording metadata.
• Ability to follow detailed project and recording instructions.

Responsibilities

• Record or collect natural, spontaneous speech according to project guidelines.
• Capture speech from approved real-life situations, such as workplace conversations or casual discussions.
• Complete conversational speech tasks, or participate in voice/text interactions with AI systems.
• Annotate collected speech data according to provided instructions.
• Provide metadata related to each recording.
