Job summary

Bluespec Holdings in Durban North seeks an experienced Workshop Operations Manager to coordinate daily workshop activities, ensure service delivery meets company standards, and drive profitability while maintaining quality and compliance. You will lead a team and implement training on the TMS and online systems, enforce safety rules, and oversee maintenance, parts control, and timely reporting.

Manage daily workshop operations to meet standards and profitability.
Drive quality and safety in line with insurer standards.
Oversee maintenance, parts control, and adherence to group timelines.

Responsibilities

Set weekly production targets within departments and monitor achievement daily.
Ensure “first-time-right” completion on at least 80% of jobs.
Authorize and track all rework and additional work.
Monitor and control diesel usage, breakages, and overtime (limit to 40 hours per employee per month).
Ensure regular maintenance and servicing of all equipment and tools.
Analyse jobs to maximize profitability.
Participate in the recruitment of workshop staff.
Ensure all staff are trained on TMS and the online system.
Arrange and follow up on internal training to confirm competency.
Manage discipline and corrective action according to company procedures.
