Job summary

Red Ember Recruitment (Pty) Ltd is recruiting a Workshop Manager for their client in Pinetown. You will oversee daily workshop operations, drive efficiency, and lead service staff and technicians to meet targets.

Responsibilities include planning, KPI tracking, coordinating parts with the Parts Manager, maintaining safety and cleanliness, and ensuring high quality service standards.

Matric and at least 5 years in a similar role are required; Code 14 license preferred.

Qualifications

• Matric is required.
• 5+ years of experience in a similar workshop role.
• Strong planning and leadership skills.
• Code 14 licence preferred.
• Team player with proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily workshop operations and plan workloads.
• Lead workshop staff and technicians, ensuring service quality.
• Coordinate with Spare parts and Parts Manager to ensure parts availability.
• Monitor WIP, efficiency, productivity and costs; report regularly.
• Maintain workshop cleanliness, safety, and HSE compliance.
• Handle deviations, escalations, and customer complaints as needed.
• Attend meetings with customers and drive service solution sales.
