Job summary

FM Staff in Ficksburg, Eastern Free State, seeks an experienced Workshop Manager to lead service and repair operations for bakkies, SUVs, and sedans, supervising Diesel Mechanics, Petrol Mechanics and Auto Electricians.

You will ensure accurate worksheets, safety and quality compliance, and efficient workflow. At least 4 years in a workshop management role, Matric, MS Office literacy, and a valid RSA driver’s license are required. Relocation may be needed.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years' experience as a Workshop Manager in servicing and repairs of Bakkies, SUVs and Sedan vehicles, overseeing Diesel Mechanics, Petrol Mechanics and Auto Electricians.
• Passed Matric Certificate.
• Red Seal Diesel Certificate preferred (Diesel Mechanic/Diesel Technician).
• Toyota workshop procedures experience beneficial but not mandatory.
• Computer literate (MS Office).
• Strong vehicle diagnostic ability and evaluation experience.
• Effective management of worksheets required.
• South African Citizenship.
• Valid RSA Driver's License with own vehicle for daily commute.
• Relocation to the Eastern Free State at own cost (if needed).
• No criminal record (will be verified).

Responsibilities

• Oversee Diesel Mechanics, Petrol Mechanics and Auto Electricians in daily workshop operations.
• Ensure accurate and up-to-date worksheets and service records.
• Maintain safety, quality, and efficiency standards in workshop.
• Coordinate servicing and repair jobs to meet deadlines.
• Assist in troubleshooting and diagnose complex vehicle issues.
