Job summary

Ovations Talent Sourcing is hiring a BPM/Workflow Software Developer in Sandton, Johannesburg. The role is 12 months, with a mix of 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.

You will translate designs into code, model and deploy workflows, and work with IBM BPM/BAW or Camunda 7/8, integrating with UIs and microservices built with Java and Spring Boot. Qualifications

• 5+ years practical experience in business process analysis.
• 5+ years software development experience with Java 11+, Spring Boot, REST APIs and Microservices.
• Hands-on experience with IBM BPM/BAW or Camunda 7/8.
• Strong knowledge of BPMN/DMN and Camunda Modeler.
• Experience with workflow deployment, external task workers and incident handling.
• Practical Kafka/Confluent experience.
• Experience with Git and Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
• Functional and performance testing experience.
• Understanding of AI-enabled workflow optimisation and data-driven decision automation.
• Banking experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Translate detailed designs into programming and configuration.
• Develop, model and deploy business workflows.
• Work with IBM BPM/BAW or Camunda 7/8.
• Integrate workflows with custom UIs.
• Develop using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs and microservices.
• Integrate and work with Kafka/Confluent.
• Identify opportunities for process automation.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to other developers.
