Job summary

Origin Wine Stellenbosch is seeking a Head of Supply Chain to lead and optimise the end-to-end supply chain function. The role requires strategic thinking across procurement, planning, inventory and logistics, with strong supplier management and financial acumen.

You will collaborate with Winemaking, Production, Finance, Sales and Marketing to align supply chain activities with business goals and drive cost reductions, stock optimisation and risk management in a fast-paced wine environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Supply Chain Management or related field.
• Minimum 8–10 years in supply chain
• Minimum 5 years in senior management or leadership position.
• Strong experience across procurement, planning, inventory and logistics.
• Experience with ERP systems and supply chain planning tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement end-to-end supply chain strategy.
• Lead procurement, inventory management, warehousing and logistics.
• Manage supplier relationships ensuring price and quality.
• Develop demand and supply planning processes for product availability.
• Oversee inventory management and stock forecasting.
• Collaborate with Winemaking, Production, Finance, Sales and Marketing.
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs and optimise working capital.
• Monitor supply chain KPIs and take corrective actions.
• Drive continuous improvement and best-practice implementations.
• Lead, mentor and develop the supply chain team.
