Placements24 seeks skilled Wind Turbine Technicians for sites near Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. The role covers installation, inspection, maintenance and repair of wind turbines to ensure peak performance and safety.

Ideal candidates have mechanical and electrical aptitude, experience with heavy machinery, and a strong safety mindset. Relocation to Richards Bay or local residency is expected, with training on state-of-the-art turbine technology provided.

Formación

• Diploma or higher in electrical or mechanical engineering, with trade test preferred.
• At least 3 years in wind turbines or industrial heavy machinery maintenance.
• Experience with high‑voltage, AC/DC motors, gearboxes and hydraulics.
• Familiar with SCADA and power generation equipment troubleshooting.
• Willing to work at heights, in confined spaces and on-call rotations.

Responsabilidades

• Inspect, maintain, repair wind turbines and associated mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Install and commission turbine components per specifications.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify issues and implement corrective actions.
• Follow safety protocols and complete documentation in CMMS.
• Work at heights, in varying weather, and participate in on-call rotations.
• Collaborate with teammates and supervisors to plan efficient maintenance.
