Job summary

SACAP (The South African College of Applied Psychology) seeks a Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) Coordinator for the Durban Campus. The role supports students by facilitating experiential learning and supervising placements, bridging academic learning with professional practice.

The successful candidate will build industry relationships, manage WIL activities, and ensure compliance with quality assurance standards while contributing to academic coordination and student development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Psychology or BPsych Equivalent or an equivalent qualification.
• Current HPCSA registration for a minimum of three (3) years is essential.
• Minimum of two (2) years' experience in a Work-Integrated Learning, student support, academic coordination, supervision, counselling, or related higher education role.
• Experience in programme coordination, student support, and administrative management.
• Knowledge of professional practice requirements, workplace learning environments, and industry trends in psychology and related disciplines.
• Experience in South African Higher Education is advantageous.
• Strong digital literacy, including LMS and student information systems, plus MS Office.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organisational, planning, and time-management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate WIL learning activities and supervise student placements.
• Provide academic, professional, and developmental support to students throughout their WIL journey.
• Build and maintain relationships with industry and community partners.
• Coordinate placement and project opportunities and ensure compliance with institutional requirements.
• Support student success, employability, and professional development.
• Contribute to administration and programme coordination within the Durban Campus.
