Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a passionate and certified Wellness Coach to join their Durban-based team. The role focuses on guiding clients toward healthier lifestyles through personalized coaching, education, and support with a hybrid work model.

You will develop customized wellness plans addressing nutrition, fitness, stress management, and mindfulness, while maintaining client confidentiality and professional coaching ethics. Durban/KwaZulu-Natal knowledge is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Certification from NBHWC or ICF-accredited program.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Wellness Coach or in a related health/wellness field.
• Strong knowledge of nutrition, fitness, stress management, and behavioral change theories.
• Excellent active listening, motivational interviewing, and coaching skills.
• Proficiency in communication and digital tools for remote or hybrid client interaction.
• Empathetic, patient, and client-centered approach.
• Understanding of the health and wellness landscape in Durban and KwaZulu-Natal is beneficial.
• Bachelor's degree in Health Science, Psychology, Nutrition, or a related field is preferred.

• Develop personalized wellness plans incorporating nutrition, physical activity, stress reduction, and mindfulness techniques.
• Provide ongoing coaching, support, and accountability to clients to help them achieve their wellness objectives.

• Monitor client progress and adjust plans as needed.
• Stay current with research and best practices in health and wellness coaching.
• Collaborate with other health professionals when necessary.
