Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Well Intervention Specialist to join our client’s operations team in Vereeniging, Gauteng. The role focuses on planning, executing, and supervising well interventions to maintain and enhance production.

The ideal candidate has a Petroleum Engineering degree, 5+ years of hands-on experience, and strong knowledge of downhole tools, integrity programs, and project management. Hybrid work balances field presence with office planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or closely related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on well intervention experience (workovers, completions).
• Thorough knowledge of downhole tools and intervention techniques.
• Experience with well integrity assessments and assurance programs.
• Proficiency in relevant well intervention software and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute well intervention programs such as workovers, completions, and abandonments.
• Supervise rig crews and service providers during well intervention operations.
• Ensure operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulations.
• Monitor well performance post-intervention and recommend optimization steps.
• Manage inventory of well intervention equipment and materials.
• Analyze historical well data to identify opportunities for production enhancement.
