Qualifications

• Must have proven experience as Welding Supervisor or senior welding role
• Certification from a recognized welding institute (e.g., Red Seal Welder)
• Thorough knowledge of MIG, TIG and Stick welding and materials
• Strong understanding of welding codes, standards and inspection techniques
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving and communication skills
• Commitment to highest safety standards in workshop

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage a team of welders and fabricators, providing technical guidance
• Ensure welding activities follow approved procedures, standards and drawings
• Monitor weld quality, conduct inspections, and oversee non-destructive testing (NDT) as required
• Implement and enforce strict health and safety protocols on the shop floor
• Manage welding consumables, equipment and inventory for readiness
• Provide training and mentorship to junior welders
