Placements24 in Bloemfontein is seeking a highly skilled Senior Welder specializing in structural steel to join our fabrication team. You will interpret blueprints, perform MIG, TIG and Stick welding, and ensure the integrity of all welded joints on site.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of structural welding experience, holds relevant certifications, and can work both in teams and independently while maintaining strict safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Structural Steel Welder.
• Valid welding certifications (e.g., ECSA, AWS) in relevant welding processes.
• Ability to read and interpret structural blueprints and welding symbols.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality welding on structural steel components according to drawings and specifications.
• Utilize MIG, TIG, and Stick welding techniques to ensure proper fusion and strength.
• Read blueprints and welding symbols accurately to guide fabrication.
• Inspect welds for defects and perform repairs as needed.
• Maintain safety protocols and PPE on construction sites.
• Collaborate with other trades and site supervisors to meet timelines and quality standards.
