Placements24 seeks a certified Welder specializing in fabrication and installation to join our Upington-based team. You will read blueprints, perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on various metals, and install components on-site with precision.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and adherence to project specs in demanding industrial environments. You will gain hands-on experience on significant infrastructure projects in the Northern Cape.

Qualifications

• Certified Welder with fabrication & installation experience.
• Ability to read blueprints, welding symbols and schematics.
• Proficiency in MIG, TIG and Stick welding on various metals.
• Commitment to safety standards and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on a range of metals and thicknesses.
• Fabricate metal components and structures from blueprints and drawings.
• Install fabricated parts on-site with accurate fitting and alignment.
• Conduct pre-weld inspections and ensure material readiness for welding.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and project requirements.
• Maintain and service welding equipment to ensure reliability.
