Job summary

The ideal candidate has a Boilermaker or Pipe Fitter trade test, at least 5 years in metal fabrication, and knowledge of relevant welding codes and processes. Shift work and overtime are required.

Qualifications

• Must have Boilermaker or Pipe Fitter trade test.
• 5 years minimum experience in metal fabrication.
• Knowledge of ASME, AWS, AS/NZA codes and welding procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure fabrication dept functions effectively to meet production demands.
• Oversee welding procedures and specifications.
• Plan, organize, supervise and manage welding team.
• Manage PPE and consumables in fabrication.
• Read drawings, weld maps and instructions for production tasks.
• Ensure correct materials, fittings and welding sizes as per drawings.
