Job summary

Route Management in Johannesburg seeks a supervisor for a welding and fabrication environment. You will oversee welders, interact with production teams, and ensure tasks are assigned correctly.

The ideal candidate must have at least five years’ experience, a matric certificate, and a red seal in welding. Familiarity with interpreting engineering drawings and adherence to safety protocols are also essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Semi-skilled boilermaker.
• Able to work long hours and under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Able to read and interpret Engineering drawings
• Liaising with Production teams
• Overseeing the work of welders, assigning tasks, and ensuring smooth workflow
• Understanding welding processes, interpreting blueprints and technical drawings, and troubleshooting welding issues.
• Participation in the fabrication of metal components including welding, cutting and shaping
• Usage of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment and heavy machinery
• General tasks in department
• Adherence to safety protocols and regulations, including PPE
• Cleaning pressure vessel equipment
