Join Our Team as a Welder Assistant

About the Role

We are currently seeking a Welder Assistant to join our team in the Gauteng region. As a Welder Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting in various welding tasks and ensuring a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Workspace Preparation: Clear the area of hazards, set up scaffolding or ladders, and arrange safety shields.
• Material Handling: Measure, load, unload, and cut metal pieces using grinders, torches, or saws.
• Weld Finishing: Remove slag, grind beads, and brush or polish welded surfaces to clean impurities.
• Equipment Maintenance: Clean, inspect, and organize welding rigs, cables, and gas cylinders.
• On-Site Support: Hand tools and materials to the lead welder and help position or clamp workpieces.
