Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Civil Engineer specializing in Water Resource Management to contribute to water supply, wastewater, and stormwater projects in Richards Bay. The role combines site assessments with office design work, supporting sustainable community water infrastructure in a forward-thinking team.

Candidates should have a Civil Engineering degree with water resources focus and at least five years of relevant experience, plus proficiency in hydraulic modeling tools and SA

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, with a focus on water resources or environmental engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in water, wastewater, or stormwater projects.
• Proficiency with hydraulic modeling tools such as EPANET and HEC-RAS.
• Strong knowledge of South African water quality standards and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop plans for water supply systems, including treatment plants and distribution networks.
• Manage projects related to wastewater collection and treatment facilities, ensuring environmental compliance.
• Conduct feasibility studies and impact assessments for water-related infrastructure projects.
• Develop and implement stormwater management plans and flood control measures.
• Collaborate with environmental scientists, geologists, and other specialists to address water resource challenges.
• Oversee construction activities for water infrastructure projects, ensuring quality and adherence to specifications.
