Job summary

Execustaff seeks a Graduate / Candidate Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Chemical or Environmental) with 0–4 years' experience for a Pretoria-based role. The position runs along an ECSA Candidate Engineer pathway, starting with fieldwork and data collection across water infrastructure projects.

You will draft report sections, assist design work, and participate in site inspections and mentor reviews. A drive for systems-level water understanding is essential.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical or Environmental discipline.
• ECSA Candidate Engineer registered or eligible immediately.
• 0–4 years' consulting or infra experience; practical counts acceptable.
• Structured technical writing abilities with shareable sample.
• Strong academic record with transparent repeats context.
• Interest in water infrastructure at systems level.

Responsibilities

• Execute water-audit fieldwork to our standard after supervision.
• Draft structured report sections that survive review.
• Support design work: drawings coordination and calculations under supervision.
• Site inspections and progress meetings participation.
• Register as ECSA Candidate Engineer with current logbook and mentor reviews.
• Own one improvement to water data workflow or validation.
