About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and highly capable Warehouse Supervisor with specialized knowledge in cold storage operations. This critical role, based in Upington, Northern Cape , will oversee the efficient and safe management of temperature-controlled warehouse facilities. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing cold chain logistics, ensuring product integrity, and leading teams in demanding environments. You will be responsible for maintaining optimal temperature conditions, managing inventory accuracy for temperature-sensitive goods, and ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations. This position is key to maintaining our client's high standards in perishable goods distribution in the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day operations within the cold storage warehouse, including receiving, storage, order picking, and dispatch.
• Ensure that all temperature and humidity control systems are functioning correctly and maintained.
• Monitor and record temperature data regularly to ensure product integrity.
• Manage a team of warehouse staff, providing leadership, training, and performance feedback.
• Implement and enforce strict health, safety, and hygiene protocols specific to cold storage environments.
• Oversee inventory management within the cold storage facility, ensuring accuracy and minimizing waste.
• Coordinate with transportation and logistics teams to ensure timely and efficient movement of cold chain products.
• Operate and supervise the use of specialized warehouse equipment suitable for cold environments.
• Conduct regular audits of storage conditions and operational procedures.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues or discrepancies related to cold chain management.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor, with at least 3 years specifically in cold storage or temperature-controlled environments.
