Job summary

On Consulting (Pty) Ltd is seeking a Storesman/Warehouse Clerk to support day-to-day warehouse operations in Gauteng. You will oversee receiving, verification of deliveries, stock recording, and safe storage of inventory to prevent damage or discrepancies.

Responsibilities include cycle counts, order picking, packing, and dispatch, plus operating forklifts and barcode scanners. The role requires Matric, 1–3 years warehouse experience, and basic computer literacy.

Qualifications

• Matric/Grade 12 certificate or equivalent qualification.
• 1–3 years of prior experience in a warehouse, logistics, or retail storage environment.
• Must be able to stand, walk for long periods, and lift/move heavy boxes.

Responsibilities

• Receiving & verification: unload deliveries, check items against notes, inspect for damage.
• Inventory control: log stock movements using WMS or manual records; conduct cycle counts and stock-takes.
• Storage & organization: bin and organize inventory safely and logically based on turnover or fragility.
• Order picking & dispatch: retrieve stock, pack and prepare orders accurately and on time.
• Equipment operations: operate forklifts or reach trucks and warehouse tools like pallet jacks and scanners.
• Health & safety: maintain a clean, hazard-free warehouse compliant with OH&S regulations.
