Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced and proactive Warehouse Manager to lead our client's distribution center in George. You will oversee receiving, storing, picking, packing and shipping, aiming to optimize efficiency and inventory accuracy.

The role requires strong leadership, a solid understanding of WMS, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, or related field preferred.
• Proven experience in a senior logistics/warehouse leadership role.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large teams and manage complex warehouse operations.
• Strong knowledge of WMS, inventory control, and supply chain best practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations including staffing, inventory control, and order fulfillment.
• Develop and implement efficient warehouse strategies to improve productivity and reduce costs.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations within the warehouse.
• Oversee maintenance and proper functioning of warehouse equipment and facilities.
• Train, supervise, and evaluate warehouse staff, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Implement and manage Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) for optimal accuracy and flow.
