Job summary

SAB Upington Depot is seeking an Operations Controller to lead warehousing and inventory functions, ensuring service levels and productivity targets are met. You will implement SOPs aligned with safety and quality standards, manage budgets, and drive continuous improvement through structured problem solving.

The role requires a three-year logistics qualification and at least three years of warehouse or logistics experience, with SAP proficiency and strong leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

• Three-year diploma/degree in logistics or related field.
• Minimum 3+ years warehouse/logistics experience preferred.
• Proficiency with SAP and data-driven processes.
• Strong interpersonal and coaching skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead warehouse operations to meet service levels and productivity targets.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and close gaps with root-cause analysis.
• Develop SOPs and KPIs; cascade to staff with routine reviews.
• Oversee loading/unloading, layout adherence, and safety standards.
• Manage budgets for VLC, ZBB and FLC in line with targets.
• Drive continuous improvement through problem-solving tools.
