Placements24 is hiring a Warehouse Operations Associate in Polokwane, Limpopo. The role focuses on efficient inventory handling, accurate receiving, and safe dispatch of goods on-site.

You will work closely with the warehouse supervisor to maintain high standards of operational excellence and teamwork. Responsibilities include receiving and verifying shipments, stock organization, order picking/packing, forklift operation, and supporting daily goals.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and energetic Warehouse Operations Associate to join their team in Polokwane, Limpopo. This role is crucial for the efficient functioning of our warehouse, ensuring that all inventory is handled, stored, and dispatched accurately and safely. The Warehouse Operations Associate will be involved in a variety of tasks, including receiving goods, stocking shelves, picking and packing orders, and preparing shipments. This is an on-site position that requires a hand-on approach and a commitment to maintaining a high standard of operational excellence. You will work closely with the warehouse supervisor to ensure smooth daily operations and contribute to a positive team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.


• Accurately store and organize inventory in designated warehouse locations.


• Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.


• Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, safely and efficiently.


• Conduct regular inventory checks and assist in cycle counting procedures.


• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment within the warehouse.


• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.


• Assist with loading outbound shipments.


• Support the warehouse supervisor and team members in achieving daily operational goals.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.


• Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred but not required.


• Ability to operate material handling equipment safely (training will be provided if necessary).


• Strong work ethic and reliability.


• Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 25 kg).


• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.


• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.


• Basic understanding of inventory principles is a plus.
