Job summary

Placements24 in Upington, Northern Cape, is seeking a Warehouse and Logistics Associate to join the busy operations team on-site. You will be involved in receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching orders, ensuring accuracy and safety in daily warehouse tasks.

Candidates should be physically fit, reliable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment with a basic understanding of inventory management and strong teamwork and communication skills. Forklift certification is advantageous.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in warehouse or logistics preferred but not essential.
• Physical ability to lift/move up to 25 kg and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic understanding of inventory management and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and store incoming goods with accurate inventory counts.
• Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing orders for shipment according to standards.
• Load/unload delivery vehicles, ensuring safe handling of items.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
• Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with stocktaking.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (if certified).
• Assist logistics coordinators with shipment tracking and documentation.
• Adhere to company safety policies and procedures.
• Identify and report damaged goods or discrepancies.
• Support other warehouse and logistics functions as needed.
