Job summary

Golden Link Talent Solutions is seeking a strong, experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee day-to-day management of a busy warehouse and distribution operation in a high-volume setting.

This role requires hands-on leadership, the ability to work under pressure, and focus on stock control, safety and efficiency. You will manage a warehousing team and coordinate receiving, storage and dispatch activities to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in Warehouse Management or Warehouse Supervision.
• Proven experience leading warehouse staff.
• Strong knowledge of stock control and logistics procedures.
• Syspro experience is required.
• Hands-on approach to warehouse management.
• Experience in steel, tube or related industry advantageous.
• Retail/distribution-centre experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all receiving, storage, stock control and dispatch operations.
• Manage and lead the warehouse team effectively.
• Ensure accurate stock management and reconciliation.
• Conduct and oversee stock counts (daily, weekly, monthly).
• Participate in annual stock takes.
• Monitor stock levels, capacity and space utilisation.
• Plan and coordinate dispatch of products and deliveries.
• Ensure loads are checked prior to dispatch.
• Oversee vehicle and equipment maintenance.
• Manage warehouse administration across receiving, dispatch and general operations.
• Monitor warehouse reports and stock-related information.
• Develop, implement and maintain effective warehouse procedures.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain high standards of Health & Safety, housekeeping and security.
• Identify operational issues and implement efficiency improvements.
• Work with other departments to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of warehouse management, stock control and logistics procedures
• Syspro experience is required
• Strong computer literacy and MS Office skills
• Experience working in a high-volume warehouse or distribution environment
• Hands‑on approach to warehouse management
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety procedures
• Experience within the steel, tube, rebar or related industry will be highly advantageous
• Ability to identify and understand mild steel products, including sheet and plate
• Retail or distribution‑centre experience will be advantageous
