Qualifications

• BCom Accounting degree required.
• 3–5 years experience in a similar finance role.
• Experience of working in Finance team supporting logistics as business partner.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and monitor internal controls within the local warehouse environment.
• Identify and mitigate potential control weaknesses in the warehouse environment.
• Continual assessment and analysis of the warehouse controls environment.
• Properly executed stock counts and strong inventory control for finished goods across warehouses and distribution centres and working capital management.
• Monitoring of goods in transit, finished goods aging and related reporting.
• Monitor stock balances between Tiger Brands and 3rd party service providers, resolving differences with relevant parties.
• Investigate, analyze and explain stock variances and control breakdowns.
• Provide finance information to enable timely month-end close and KPI reporting.
• Ensure GL and sub-inventories are in balance at all times.
• Prepare and analyse information for month end close under tight deadlines.
• Partner with logistics and internal audit to improve daily operation and control adherence.
• Support management reports (Actual vs Forecast vs Budget).
• Drive continuous improvement in the warehouse environment.
• Supervise Administrators and coordinate with Business Units for stock updates.
• Monitor stock variances and 3rd party billing for stock variances.
• Clear General Ledger suspense accounts timeously.
