Job summary

MAPEI S.p.A. in South Africa is seeking a Warehouse Operative responsible for streamlining shipping, receiving and stock control. You will inspect materials, record orders and operate warehouse equipment under supervision.

The role requires safe stacking, accurate labeling, maintaining clean floors, and coordinating with production and maintenance. Training will be provided for forklifts and high reach trucks.

Responsibilities

• Streamlines shipping and transportation processes through effective use of the equipment.
• Receive, inspect and verify incoming materials, equipment and components against delivery documentation.
• Keep logs and records of warehouse stock, executed orders as required and instructed by management.
• Operate warehouse equipment such Forklifts and High Reach Truck to perform their daily functions where authorised and trained.
• Perform all stacking, and do so in safe manner and not higher than set storage height.
• Ensure materials are correctly labelled, stored and organised for easy identification and access.
• Responsible to keep the floor of the warehouse clean and dry as far as possible and respond as fast as possible should there be a spillage or hazard.
• Assist with issuing materials to production, maintenance and other departments as required.
• Verify and communicate weighbridge information for all stock incoming and outgoing, and ensure all documentation are recorded and filed as required.
• Facilitate the moving of products from one destination to another within the warehouse as required.
• Report all faulty equipment to your supervisor immediately.
• Takes steps to avoid losses of stock i.e. (damages and loss of stock).
• Ensure that all risk assessment are completed before commencement of duties.
• Support the Warehouse Supervisor with other operational duties as required.
