Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. in Rahway, NJ, USA, is seeking personnel for a warehouse/production support role responsible for material prep, packing, and stock control in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepping bill of material packaging (bags and buckets).
  • Picking and packing of bill of material.
  • Ensuring that bill of material is always stocked.
  • Checking the levels of the bill of material packaging (bags, buckets, barcodes etc.).
  • Control and management of all barcodes.
  • Ensure that bill of material is packed correctly for stock take purposes.
  • Checking the printed orders that come from the production room.
  • Quality control of the printed tags.
  • Packing of blank orders and ensuring correct packing for orders.
  • Ensuring orders are packed correctly and up to standard.
  • Checking incoming stock and packing it on shelves (FIFO).
  • Follow stock taking prep and processes.
  • Record all duties (Production) on an excel sheet, daily.
  • Assist pharmacovigilance by notifying within 1 business day or 3 calendar days of any product complaint communication.
  • Cooperate with pharmacovigilance in investigations related to reports.

Job description

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Prepping bill of material packaging (bags and buckets).
  • Picking and packing of bill of material.
  • Ensuring that bill of material is always stocked.
  • Checking the levels of the bill of material packaging (bags, buckets, barcodes etc.).
  • Control and management of all barcodes.
  • Ensure that bill of material is packed correctly for stock take purposes.
  • Checking the printed orders that come from the production room.
  • Quality control of the printed tags.
  • Making sure that blank orders are packed if the printed order has any blank order items.
  • Packing of blank orders.
  • Ensuring that the orders are packed correctly and up to standard.
  • Checking of incoming stock and packing it on the shelves (FIFO).
  • Ensuring the necessary prepping and processes are followed during stock take.
  • Any further instruction from the warehouse supervisors as required.
  • Record all duties (Production) on an excel sheet, daily.
  • In the event of receiving any communication relating to a Product Complaint, the employee shall, within one (1) business days or three (3) calendar days, whichever is shorter from the date of receipt of such communication, notify the pharmacovigilance department by email.
  • The employee shall cooperate fully with and provide all reasonable and necessary information and assistance to the pharmacovigilance department in connection with any investigation relating to the report.
